Morning is a special time at Shangri La. At first, the water is still and the surrounding forest is quiet. But soon our Rainbow and Brook trout, and Atlantic salmon rise for their first meal and signal another day in paradise for our guests.

Shangri La has been in the Valentine family since the 1960s, and has been providing a most unique Adirondack experience for individuals , families, and corporate retreats since 1995. with our private 2.5 acre main pond generously stocked for the exclusive use of our guests. We are the only FPL (Fish Preserve Licensee) in New York State licensed with Atlantic salmon - just one of the unique qualities at Shangri La.

The property includes three rustic log cabins, all with mountain views, while nearby trails take guests through hundreds of acres of forested land. Canoeing, boating, swimming, croquet, and of course, fishing are all available on-site.
